Can I wear blue eye shadow if I have blue eyes?

I was just wondering if it looks tacky to you, because I have heard that you shouldn’t wear eye shadow the same color as your eyes. I sometimes use a metallic turquoise color and I have light or medium blue eyes.
What do you think?

You can but it would not blend well.
I would say if you think it looks good wear it if you dont then dont use it.
